Searle and Pfizer are now marketing Celebrex (celecoxib), the first COX-2 inhibitor...in both the U.S. and Canada.
A second one, Vioxx (rofecoxib, Merck) is expected soon.
Celebrex and Vioxx will be used as alternatives to NSAIDs for arthritis and pain.
