Boehringer Ingelheim and Glaxo are co-marketing a new drug for hypertension, Micardis (telmisartan).
It's the 5th angiotensin II receptor blocker...joining Cozaar (losartan), Diovan (valsartan), Avapro (irbesartan), and Atacand (candesartan).
A 6th one, Teveten (eprosartan, Solvay), will be out soon.
