updated guidelines on menopausal treatment

The Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada is promoting updated guidelines on menopausal treatment.

Symptom management. Hormone therapy SHOULD be offered for moderate to severe menopausal symptoms...hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, etc. But it should NOT be used for prevention of cardiovascular disease.

Progestin should be added to estrogen therapy for women with an intact uterus, to help prevent endometrial cancer.
