more kids should get ORAL ondansetron (Zofran, etc) for the stomach flu

New Canadian guidelines say more kids should get ORAL ondansetron (Zofran, etc) for the stomach flu in emergency departments.

Stomach flu is usually self-limiting and caused by a virus, such as Norwalk or rotavirus. But many kids end up in the emergency department due to persistent vomiting and dehydration.

These kids are usually given a traditional antiemetic...promethazine, metoclopramide, or dimenhydrinate.
